  We have been enjoying Sanibel Arms West for almost 20 years. The facilities are great and the customer service is outstanding. Unit L7 has a nice view of the gulf, has 2 full size beds in the second bedroom which we appreciated. The unit was clean and very comfortable. The new adirondack chairs for the beach were a great addition this year. Highly recommend SAW and Sanibel for a vacation. Great restaurants and ice cream shops! Plan to be back next year.

  The vent fan in the master bathroom RANDOMLY AND UNPREDCTABLY changes from a quiet hum to an extremely noisy operation. It is most likely that over time the connection of the fan to the shaft has loosened or worn.
  
  Each of the bar stools was unstable because the screws connecting the stool leg and the support ring were loose or missing. Replacement screws were purchased and installed to return the stools to their stability when manufactured.
  
  The shower in the master bath has been installed incorrectly and is a hazard to operate. From the OFF position the first position produces the hottest water and further opening produces progressively cooler water. The uninitiated could easily receive local burning when staring to shower. If one experienced a stroke or fainting and grasped the handle as they fell, they could be seriously scalded as they lay immobile on the floor. It is quite probably a violation of local building codes.
  Instruction manuals or notes for the TV remotes would be helpful in avoiding the hours spent experimenting with each to obtain the desired picture and channel.
  
  The decorative bed duvets are too heavy to use as bedding. A lightweight blanket for each bed would make sleeping possible with the cold air blown from the air conditioner.
  
  The knives in the kitchen ALL need to be sharpened to be useful, and there is only 1 useful kitchen tea towel. An inventory of glassware and cooking ware by someone who cooks and entertains, followed by a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond could significantly enhance the cooking/dining experience and cost the owner perhaps $200.

  Overall very pleased with rental. Cleanliness was good however we are very particular and think the unit could have been more thouroughly (deep) cleaned. Pots and pans could be updated as well. The unit had everything we needed. Location was great and we felt very safe with our family. Facilities were also great - exercise room and screened in pool a plus. Staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. Grounds were well kept and being steps to the ocean was fantastic. Campus map is very helpful when booking. Easy check in and out process. 4.5 stars out of 5 :) Very pleased.

  This was our 3rd summer spending time in Sanibel. We always enjoy this property, and the units we choose. Yearly I hand pick a unit, which I feel fits our family personality and needs! While the accommodations and appliances worked great, the unit lacks some cooking ware and the beaters & blenders for baking were old, and 1970’s looking. Actually, the blender smelled like it was going to burn up. Spend a little money and supply decent cookware and kitchen utensils and this is perfect!

  We have been staying once a year at Arms West for the last few years. Is a great place to relax and enjoy. The place even have free of charge beach chairs for the guest to enjoy making the experience a little easier for traveling guest from other states or Country. We really enjoy the facility staying at various unit depending on availability. We have staid in other properties in the area, but once we tried Arms West we will not stay any where else. They are very professional, but sometimes you have to remind them of the items requested and agreed when making the reservation. But always taking care of it once you remind them of it. It's a great place to stay at.
